I thinks...

Hello everyone. For this week, I chose the following 4 topics offered by the teacher for the blog: my opinion on: a) owning an exotic pet, b) the immigration situation in Chile, c) the legalization of some drugs, and d)  a) Personally, I think it is cruel to have pets in the first place, especially when they are separating from their natural habitats and their natural ways of life are interrupting. And that has been the subject of discussion in my family because we have pets in the apartment (2 rabbits), but I find it cruel that they cannot enjoy the outdoors and all aspects of that life, for example, reproduction. Although I am not an animalist (I eat meat), but I find it violent that we intervene in the reproduction of animals, especially their sterilization. b) About the immigration situation, I think it is a difficult situation to handle due to the pre-existing precariousness and difficulty of access to basic services, apart from its high costs, which Chile presente...

I'll come back

Image
Hi, everybody. Today, I’ll write about post graduate studies. Such somebody knows before I come in Public Management I studied Sociology and my idea is to come back in post grade. Since some years, I would like to do a magister about Systemic Analysis Applied to Society in Faculty of Social Sciences of Universidad de Chile due to 2 reasons: I love the Social Systems Theory, specially the Luhmann’s formulation (that’s focus of the magister) what pick up the autopoiesis concept and the social systems are operationally closed, this theory is basing in Complexity Paradigm; and the knowledge of that magister would be very cool apply it in the Public Administration. Where you see boxes and pyramids I see circles, I mean a complex framework of concentric and eccentric circular systems (yes, I’m a little crazy). Also, I would like to study Politic Science in Spain, in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, or sociology in Brazil, in the Universidade de S ã o Paulo (my aunt live...

One more chance, please...

Since I was 2 years old, I started to think about what I would like be when I grow up. My first answer was superhero, dream it lasted until my parents avoid me that I continue throwing myself down the stairs wanting to fly. Then I liked to be Pope, the best person of the world until my father explained me that it wasn’t actually. Later, I liked to be astronomer and paleontologist until one semester in Faculty of Physics and Mathematics Sciences broke my dreams. Finally, I decided study sociology, the social science of the moment, until 5 years later I was expulsed under forth causal of elimination. A disappointing story, is not? On December, 2017, after one year of reflection and work, I decided to become myself in a Public Administrator. Since 2016, then of to take the subjects of Publics Policies and Evaluation of Publics Policies when I studied sociology, I felt a need of to study about State so politic as administratively. Also, I no longer wanted the sus...

The concert called “March of the Whirlpools” was on August 21st, 2011 in the Parque O’Higgins motived from Social Movement for Education and organized from several Students Federations. The access to the concert was free. The concert started at 14:00 and participated several music groups: Banda Conmoción, Sinergia, Los Miserables, Villa Cariño, Los Tres, Juanafé, Sol y Lluvia, Inti Illimani and Illapu; and singers such Macha Asenjo, Joe Vanconcellos and Daniel Viglietti. One million of persons assisted to the concert. It was fabulous. Everybody was singing or dancing. In a moment, due to hot weather a camion dispensed water with a hosepipe.   (The news note here:  Historic concert for a better education in Chile )

A travel to my roots

Image
Hello, partners. Today, I’ll write about the places I would like to know. These places are localized in two modern countries, Spain and Tunisia, but, for several years ago, both pertain to the same empires: Phoenician, Roman and Muslim conquest. I’m talking about Carthage (Tunisia) and Cartagena (Spain). I like to visit these places because are my familiar roots places. I can to date to my familiar tree until these places. And through of books I knew about my ancient grandfather origin and roots of my last name. My ancient grandfather few less 500 years ago, go out of Cartagena to accompany to Pedro de Valdivia in his travel to America, Peru and Chile. Also, the origin of my last name pertains to Carthage. Both places are patrimonial city and town, so I would walk in same street where my ancient relatives walked. Maybe, I would can to see that they saw, and to feel that they felt. Maybe, I would can to understand why they travel so fair.

A gipsy life? (Rescuing the first blog).

Hi. I’m Mariano Luis Ignacio Cartagena Retamales. I was born on August 14, 1992, in Santiago. I studied in 13 schools in many communes to the point that I would spend the 120 word only named the different schools, although is important to say that most of them were public establishments (even in regions). In my family, we are six persons: my parents, my sisters and me. I’m the older brother, the responsible kid, then man, if some went wrong. I still feel this. I studied two university programs, Engender Common Plan and Sociology, before to study Public Management. My hobby is to read manga. I don’t considered myself an otaku, but I’ve read several, over sixty, mangas, manhuas or manhwas. The best of them had been Sun-Ken Rock.
