Why did I choose Public Management?


A question I answer to me in each stress moment.
When I’m 4 years old I wanted to be Pope, thought that it lived until the girls became to like me. Later, I want to be basketball player and astronomer. Then, I wanted to begin astronomer and palaeontologist, both in same times.  That dream remained until I found doesn’t exist palaeontology as study programme in Chile, except in University of Magallanes.
In 2011, I entered to Engineer’s Common Plan, requirement for to be astronomer in the University of Chile. In same year, I abandoned this career and I started to study sociology in the next year. Later, five years after, I was expelling from that programme due academics requirements.
While I studied sociology, I had class of Publics Politics and it interested me much and in postulation time in 2018 I choose Public Management.
About university’s experience only I can say that is fantastic. I discovered very much things. Each day has been fruitful. I’ve been very happy to meet very persons and I learn about each of them.

    Hi Mariano, I have a friend that also liked paleontologist and he went through the same thing :(

    Wow, it's very difficult or very radical the transfer of a maths career to a humanist career, i´m very impressive. But, it looks like you take a very good option. Congratulations Mariano!

Hello, partners. Today, I’ll write about the places I would like to know. These places are localized in two modern countries, Spain and Tunisia, but, for several years ago, both pertain to the same empires: Phoenician, Roman and Muslim conquest. I’m talking about Carthage (Tunisia) and Cartagena (Spain). I like to visit these places because are my familiar roots places. I can to date to my familiar tree until these places. And through of books I knew about my ancient grandfather origin and roots of my last name. My ancient grandfather few less 500 years ago, go out of Cartagena to accompany to Pedro de Valdivia in his travel to America, Peru and Chile. Also, the origin of my last name pertains to Carthage. Both places are patrimonial city and town, so I would walk in same street where my ancient relatives walked. Maybe, I would can to see that they saw, and to feel that they felt. Maybe, I would can to understand why they travel so fair.

"The Other Guys", a picture for other guys.

My favorite movie is "The Other Guys", a film about two detectives of New York City with contradictories personalities that they try to solve a case about a building infractions but they discovers a swindling business. I like this movie because it about from comic perspective the fraud of investment business in 2008 and, in the credits, it delivery information about executives of big companies and inversion enterprises (how they create simples and complexes operations for defraud) also him grown history.  I like to watch movies that it doesn’t tense me therefore I love the comic movies and hate of complex movies, except Bourne’s movies (if “The Other Guys” doesn’t exist, “The Bourne Ultimatum” will be my favorite movie). I’m remembering, the most recent movie I saw was “Bohemian Rhapsody”, I recommend him. The best part of this movie is the recreation of Africa Live Aid concert, it was very careful in each detail. I'll come back

Hi, everybody. Today, I’ll write about post graduate studies. Such somebody knows before I come in Public Management I studied Sociology and my idea is to come back in post grade. Since some years, I would like to do a magister about Systemic Analysis Applied to Society in Faculty of Social Sciences of Universidad de Chile due to 2 reasons: I love the Social Systems Theory, specially the Luhmann’s formulation (that’s focus of the magister) what pick up the autopoiesis concept and the social systems are operationally closed, this theory is basing in Complexity Paradigm; and the knowledge of that magister would be very cool apply it in the Public Administration. Where you see boxes and pyramids I see circles, I mean a complex framework of concentric and eccentric circular systems (yes, I’m a little crazy).
